Diego Behncke is an artist based in Berlin. His work is realized through the frameworks of fictional systems, abstraction, and synthesis. Taking form through obfuscation operations involving installations, synthetic sound, and films, his works appear as an abuse of conceptual and technical byproducts, a foregrounding of epistemic faults, and a strategic misdirection of ambiguity.

In live performances, he works with nonlinear approaches to sound synthesis through feedback and hybrid arrangements of feature extraction, coupling analog electronic components with computational machine listening systems in recursive manners; responding to the results, he acts as a regulator of the adaptive system and influences formal changes based on salient features of the process itself.

In addition and as part of his artistic practice, he runs the experimental music label Prensa Manual.
